David Christensen, LMFT

I help kids and teens overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems and challenging behaviors. I am especially interested in working with trauma and difficulties with attachment. I have also pursued training in neurofeedback as a way to help people deal with depression, anxiety, trauma and even migraines.

When a child is suffering from trauma, depression or anxiety, their difficulties often show up as family conflict and a wide range of problematic behaviors. I have found that when kids learn to connect to parents, manage feelings and establish healthy boundaries, the growth they experience can be remarkable.

As a marriage and family therapist, I focus on helping both the child and the family. I work with children to understand and communicate their feelings, find more mastery over their choices and develop positive bonds with their parents. I work with families to strengthen bonds, support the child's growth and well-being and resolve conflicts.

I received a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah, and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
