Miles Carraway, ACMHC

I work with older children, teens, and adults of all ages. My therapy focus is to help individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma understand how to cope with these symptoms. My goal is to help individuals develop achievable goals, learn communication skills, anger management techniques, and coping skills to best handle negative symptoms. Together we can navigate these symptoms and move forward towards a better life for themselves and the lives of those they care about.

I am an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor who graduated with a masters in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. While in school I took additional courses focusing on trauma, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue. I primarily use a mix cognitive-behavioral therapy and person-centered theory to inform my therapeutic approach. When working with children I use of play therapy and on occasion this may include sand play. In addition to working with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma I am also able to help with spiritual, LGBTQ+, and kink lifestyle issues. I previously worked for 6 years at a residential treatment center helping individuals with criminal and substance abuse backgrounds learn how return to society successfully.
